Founded in 2012 in Joshua Tree, California by Cody Montgomery and Sarah Harris,
Cody has a background in textiles and Sarah is in charge of design.
All products are made in the U.S. and much of the production process takes place in their hometown of Joshua Tree, with the help of friends and neighbors.
Totally Blown is also very conscious of our environmental impact.
All of their products are made from only natural fibers, and their fabrics, including linen, hemp, and cotton, are sourced almost exclusively from deadstock textile dealers. They also find new value by recycling fabrics that would have otherwise been thrown away, such as remaking used denim. As for dyes, we use many natural dyes such as indigo and rust, avoiding the environmentally unfriendly chemical dyes often used in the industry.
All items are finished with a special shotgun process, which offers a new way to use a gun that is not for killing people.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each product goes to "EVERY TOWN FOR GUN SAFETY," the country's leading organization mobilizing to educate and change gun control to protect the public.
Joshua Tooley's studio comes up with different designs and patterns, dyes the garments, and then shotguns them.
